- Open the {CLIENT} property in Google Search Console
- Under Index, click on Coverage in the left-hand navigation menu
- Review this report, paying close attention to any pages listed under the Error or Valid with warnings reports. Take note of any pages that are listed under these two report types and address the underlying issues as needed.
- Under Index in the left-hand navigation menu, click Sitemaps
- For any Submitted sitemaps, confirm that the status is Success. Address any errors that exists and upload a revised sitemap to the {CLIENT} site.
- Once the {CLIENT} site is re-published, return to the Sitemaps page in Search Console. Under Add a new sitemap, enter in the sitemap page path (likely sitemap.xml) and click Submit. Check the Submitted sitemaps report again, and confirm the the new sitemap was successfully submitted.
- Under Enhancements in the left-hand navigation menu, click on Mobile Usability
- Confirm that there are no pages listed under the Mobile Usability Error report. If errors exist, take not of the pages and specific errors listed, and address as needed.
